Our goal

The mental health system in Ontario is a complex system of services that has been chronically under-funded and under-resourced. Too many people continue to go without meaningful mental health services, with heartbreaking consequences. Slowly, mental health and mental health services are being recognized as important and less stigmatized.

The Mental Health Checkup aims to contribute positively to a piece of a much larger puzzle by making one aspect of preventative mental health services more accessible.

What is the Mental Health Checkup?

The Mental Health Checkup is a volunteer service that provides a free, one-time

psychotherapy session to anyone in the community who wishes to receive it.
